It is called the Way Green Portfolio Fund, and is managed by Vestra Wealth, via Way Fund Managers. The fund will invest in a range of investment funds that specialise in all aspects of environmental technology, protection and climate change mitigation. In a quite staggering announcement from the head of the Government’s new Pensions body (Personal Accounts Delivery Authority), it appears that there is no demand from the UK population for investments that are based on Christian values – one assumes that this must be in some way an official UK Government view. Well, the deal is done and the dust has settled. Friends Provident has moved from a Quaker founded mutual Insurance and Investment Company, to being an independent quoted company to now being part of the Resolution Group. Friends Provident‘s link to its own Stewardship brand is also fast disappearing after it sold of its majority stake in F&C, the fund managers that run the Stewardship funds.
